Music taste

Post by Pusur1993 » 17 Jan 2009 16:23

Well, there have been started a few threads aimed at socialising and getting to know people better the last week, and I figured a music thread would be fitting. So, what kind of music does people listen to?

I for one listen to a lot of different music, everything from blues-rock to thrash metal. I often fall more in love in a specific band than the music style, though. My music folder is full of Black Sabbath, AC/DC, Pink Floyd, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Satriani, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Who and a lot more. Surprisingly, I also listen to some orchestra kinds of music. Recently watching the Star Wars movies, I've listened a lot to John Williams. I also really love some of the work of i.e. Mozart and Bach.

Good thread.

You name it for me, I pretty much listen to it. My favorites though would have to be metal (any and all :D), psychobilly, and punk (real punk, not this crap being passed off as punk nowadays).

The list goes on and on.
I like blues and psychedelic rock of the Hendrix kind. Love me some Zeppelin and Zappa. I also love me some black metal, preferably symphonic or melodic. I'm talking Dimmu, In Flames and such. Also, Groove Metal of the Pantera kind. I love Pantera, all the way back to Cowboys from Hell.
Rediscovered my love for indie rock as well lately. Kooks and Wombats are awesome. Give me some metalcore and I'll also be happy.

Rock.

What you guys are saying here in the thread is also available for me, but I can't listen to black metal. Also I've stop to listen to metal some time ago. I'm getting older, and now I'm peaceful than other younger times :D.

Somehow, I'm mostly like the hippie period, and classical music, and also the new English type bands which are playing the piano also.

The great guitarists/bassists are also one good choice for me!

Well, I'm gonna get flamed here now.. But I LIKE TRANCE =D Not the heavy shit though, eg psytrance, and you-need-10-different-drugs-to-like-it-trance.. But vocal trance and the lighter stuff.
Or.. Actually I listen to anything that is not satan-come-and-cut-my-throat-and-piss-in-the-wound-afterwards-metal..

Well I guess now is a bad time to bring up I'm a fan of satan-come-and-cut-my-throat-and-piss-in-the-wound-afterwards-metal :D ;)

I'll have to start an account on last.fm, I've never used it before.

You know, SlipKnot has some lyrics that say "slit your throat and fuck the wound".
I hate trance. At least vocal trance or tyggistrance. I can understand psytrance and hardstyle and such, but vocal is just... far out.

All new hip-hop is horrible mainstream garbage that only serves to earn the artists money.

Old gangster rap is acceptable.

That was probably your subconcious mind refusing to write it.

It loves the pop.
